About this course
MA (Honours) in Psychology, a psychology and history of art degree examining the theoretical foundations and empirical basis of contemporary psychology. Core topics include Data Analysis, Research Methods. This four-year degree is accredited by the British Psychological Society as conferring eligibility for graduate registration, provided requisite modules are completed with appropriate grades. The first year covers theoretical foundations and modern developments through Fundamentals of Psychology 1 and Fundamentals of Psychology 2. The second year prepares students for honours study through Advanced Principles of Psychology 1 and Advanced Principles of Psychology 2, covering brain-behaviour relations, social psychology, clinical psychology, cognition, perception, and comparative psychology. Subsequent years offer a range of optional modules including Aggressive Behaviour, Assessment in Clinical Psychology, Clinical Neuropsychology, and Data Science for Psychology & Neuroscience.
