A level: AAB, including Biology and one other science from the following: Chemistry Mathematics Physics. IB: 36 (HL 6,6,5), including HL6 in Biology and HL6 in one of the following subjects: Chemistry Mathematics Physics.
About this course
BSc (Honours) in Zoology, a zoology degree centred on the study of animal biology, evolution and organismal diversity. Core topics include Research Methods. The curriculum spans four years full time, incorporating both molecular and ecological approaches. The first year covers foundational concepts through Biology 1 and Biology 2. The second year progresses to examine specific groups and experimental techniques through Animal Behaviour, Invertebrate Zoology, Research Methods in Biology, Vertebrate Zoology and Zoology. Further study draws upon additional modules such as Animal Behaviour: A Quantitative Approach, Biology of Marine Organisms, Ecosystems and Conservation, Evolution, and Genes, Cells and Development.
