Entry requirements

A GCSE pass at grade 9-4/A*-C (or international equivalent) in Mathematics is required. For international applicants the equivalent of 128 UCAS tariff points/A level ABB is required for BA Architecture and the equivalent of 64 UCAS tariff points is required for BA Architecture with Integrated Foundation Year. The standard entry requirements* for this course are o ne of the following: 128 UCAS tariff points, see accepted qualifications; Merit at Foundation Diploma in Art & Design (Level 3 or 4); Distinction, Distinction, Merit at BTEC Extended Diploma / BTEC National Extended Diploma; Merit at UAL Extended Diploma; 128 UCAS tariff points from an accredited Access to Higher Education Diploma in appropriate subject; 29 total points in the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program with at least 16 IB points at Higher Level (HL), see more information about IB entry requirements . And five GCSE passes at grade 9-4/A*-C including Mathematics and English (or Functional Skills English/Key Skills Communication Level 2). Other relevant and equivalent L evel 3 UK and international qualifications are considered on an individual basis, and we encourage students from diverse educational backgrounds to apply.

About this course

BA (Hons) Architecture. Core topics include Research Methods, Environmental Analysis, Communication & Writing, Critical & Analytical Thinking, Ethics & Professional Practice, and Design & Creative Practice. The programme is taught through studio practice with dedicated workspace, and covers the RIBA Plan of Work in professional practice modules. A self-directed final project in Design Studio 06 consolidates learning.
