About this course
MSci in Business and Health, a BSc (Hons) Public Health and Business and Management degree combining commercial principles with health sector applications over four academic years. Core topics include Data Analysis, Statistics, Research Methods, Project Management, Accounting, and Entrepreneurship. Students complete either a study abroad period or a professional placement in the third year, and undertake a dissertation in the final year. The first year covers foundational concepts through Principles and Practices of Economics, Introduction to Management, Principles of Marketing, and Health and Social Care. The second year examines specialized areas such as Comparative Health Systems, Health Economics, Healthcare Supply Chain Management, and Human Resources and Workforce Planning. The third year consists of the optional Business and Health Study Abroad and Business and Health Placement modules. The final year includes compulsory modules like Data Analytics and AI for Healthcare, ESG, Health and Sustainability, and Business and Health Dissertation, alongside optional choices such as Strategic Healthcare Leadership and Digital Health Start-ups.
