About this course

BSc in Chemistry, a chemistry degree centred on core chemical principles and laboratory techniques. Core topics include Programming, Data Analysis, and Statistics. This three-year course covers fundamental and advanced chemistry with opportunities to select optional modules in related scientific disciplines. The first year establishes core knowledge through Chemical Foundations, Chemical Skills, Basic Organic Chemistry, Basic Physical Chemistry, and Basic Inorganic Chemistry. The second year expands into deeper study via Inorganic Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, and Physical Chemistry alongside optional topics like Data Analytics for Chemistry and Introduction to Programming. The third year concludes the curriculum with Advanced Topics in Inorganic Chemistry, Advanced Topics in Organic Chemistry, Advanced Topics in Physical Chemistry, and Research Skills for Chemists. Students may also tailor their studies through various optional modules such as Scientific Programming for Chemists, Concepts in Computational Chemistry, and Principles of Drug Design.
