A level: AAB (Biology A required. Psychology, Chemistry, Maths, Sociology and Geography preferred.) IB: 36 points (A total of 17 points in three higher level subjects including Biology at grade 6, with no higher level score below 5. Chemistry, Psychology, Geography or Mathematics preferred at Higher Level. For Mathematics, the course will accept either ‘Analysis and Approaches’ or ‘Applications and Interpretation’ at higher level. About this course
BSc in Child Health Sciences, a UCL GOS Institute of Child Health degree focusing on child and adolescent health, development, and wellbeing. Core topics include Research Methods. Students can specialise in Biology, Cell and Gene Therapy, Psychology and Mental Health, or Public Health and Health Promotion. The first year covers foundational subjects through Fundamentals of Child Health Sciences, Human Development, Genetics and Cancer in Child Health, and Introduction to Child Public Health. The second year continues with modules such as Neurodevelopmental Disorders and Neurodiversity, Foundations in Cellular Therapies and Regenerative Medicine in Child Health, and Global Maternal and Child Health. The final year involves advanced study including the Child Health Sciences Project, Principles of Child and Adolescent Mental Health, and Cancer and Child Immunology.
