Entry requirements
A level: A*A*A (A* in either Mathematics or Further Mathematics required.) IB: 40 points (A total of 20 points in three higher level subjects including Grade 7 in Mathematics. The course will accept either ‘Mathematics: Analysis and Approaches’ or ‘Mathematics: Applications and Interpretation’ at higher level. ‘Mathematics: Analysis and Approaches’ is preferred.)
About this course
BSc in Computer Science, a computer science degree focused on the study of computation, software development, and technical systems. Core topics include Programming, Mathematical Modelling, Research Methods, and Engineering Design. The curriculum includes collaborative industry engagement alongside academic study. The first year establishes foundations through Introductory Computer Science Mathematics, Algorithms and Theory of Computation, Programming and Software Development, and Programming Language Concepts. The second year advances into Computer Science Mathematics and Theory 1, Intelligent Data Systems, Computing Systems, and Software Engineering Team Project. The third year concludes with advanced studies in Computation and Complexity, Emerging Technologies, and the Computer Science BSc Project / Dissertation. Optional modules in later years allow specialisation in subjects such as Intelligent Systems, Connected Systems, and Data Mining and Analysis.
