A level: ABB (Latin grade A required, foreign language preferred.) IB: 34 points (A total of 16 points in three higher level subjects to include Latin grade 6, with no higher level score below 5. Foreign language preferred.)
About this course
BA in Dutch and Latin, a German and Classics degree focusing on linguistic proficiency and classical history. Students spend the third year abroad to experience a Dutch-speaking society firsthand. The first year covers introductory language and culture through An Introduction to Dutch Language and Culture, Introduction to Dutch Studies 1, and Introduction to Dutch Studies 2. The second year progresses with intermediate study via Intermediate Dutch Language and Culture, alongside optional modules in classical literature and history. The third year consists of SELCS Year Abroad Term 1 and SELCS Year Abroad Term 2. The final year concludes the degree with Advanced Dutch Language and Culture, complemented by advanced optional topics.
