A level: A*AA (A* in Mathematics required. Further Mathematics preferred. If you are studying both then the A* can be in either subject. Other preferred subjects include Chemistry, Economics, Physics and Statistics.) The programme will accept either ‘Mathematics: Analysis and Approaches’ or ‘Mathematics: Applications and Interpretation’ at higher level. About this course

BSc (Econ) in Economics and Statistics, a degree in mathematics and statistics and economics focused on quantitative analysis. Core topics include Statistics and Mathematical Modelling. Run jointly with the Department of Economics, the course combines economic theory with mathematical and statistical methods. The first year covers foundational principles through Calculus and Linear Algebra, Introduction to Probability and Statistics, and Economics 1 (Combined Studies). The second year advances quantitative study with modules such as Quantitative Economics and Econometrics, Regression Modelling, and Probability and Inference.
