Entry requirements

A level: AAB (Previous study of a foreign language is preferred (not necessarily one of the named languages) but not required. Applicants may study two languages at beginner level and may seek advice from the departments concerned if needed.) IB: 36 points (A total of 17 points in three higher level subjects, with no higher level score below 5. Foreign language preferred.)

About this course

BA in French and Management Studies, a School of European Languages, Culture and Society degree combining language proficiency with business theory. Core topics include Project Management and Accounting. Students spend their third year undertaking a compulsory year abroad. The first year covers foundational language and business principles through Use of French 1, The Making of Modern France, Understanding Management and Accounting for Business. The second year progresses with Use of French 2, Competitive Strategy, Managerial Accounting for Decision Making and Business and Society alongside optional literary or historical modules. The third year consists of the SELCS Year Abroad across two terms. The final year concludes with French Oral 3, Use of French 3 and Strategic Project Management, supplemented by optional modules in literature, history and translation.
