About this course
BA in Geography with Study Abroad, a geography degree focused on examining social, cultural, political, and economic processes across global societies. Core topics include Research Methods. Students spend the third year studying abroad at a partner institution before returning to complete a final-year dissertation. The first year introduces foundational geographical concepts through Foundations of Geography 1 and Foundations of Geography 2. The second year builds methodological skills with The Practice of Geography. The third year consists of BA / BSc Geography (International): Study Abroad and Study Abroad Year Dissertation Report. The final year involves independent research through Geography Dissertation (30 credits) and Dissertation (60 credits), alongside optional modules such as Coastal Geohazards, Migration and Transnationalism, and Principles and Practice of Remote Sensing.
