About this course
BA in Hebrew and Spanish, a degree centred on Spanish, Portuguese and Latin American Studies and Hebrew and Jewish Studies. Core topics include Research Methods. Students spend the third year abroad to experience the cultures and societies associated with both languages. The first year covers language acquisition and foundational cultural studies through Modern Hebrew Language 1, Kita Alef: Introduction to Jewish Studies, and Spanish Language I. In the second year, students build proficiency via Modern Hebrew Language 2 and Spanish Language II, alongside optional history or literature modules. The third year consists of study abroad terms. The final year concludes language progression through Modern Hebrew Language 4 and Spanish Language III, with options including a dissertation.
