About this course

BA in History and Politics of the Americas with Study Abroad, a politics and international relations and english literature, american studies and creative writing degree focusing on historical and political dynamics across the Americas. Core topics include Research Methods. Students spend the third year studying at a partner institution in the United States or Latin America. The first year introduces foundational themes through compulsory modules such as Introduction to History of the Americas, Introduction to Politics of the Americas, and Investigating the Americas I: Topics and Skills, alongside language options or regional history modules. The second year continues with the compulsory module Investigating the Americas II: Research Approaches and Skills, while optional modules cover topics such as protest politics, US institutions, and gender studies.
