About this course

BSc in Human Sciences, a human biology degree centred on combining life sciences with social and historical sciences to investigate complex questions concerning our species. Core topics include Programming and Human Behaviour. Students may choose to extend the standard three-year degree into a four-year programme by spending an extra year studying abroad. The first year covers foundational concepts through compulsory modules such as Introduction to Biological Anthropology, Cells to Organisms, Introduction to Psychology, and Organisms, Evolution and Ecology, alongside various optional language and humanities modules. The second year features the compulsory module History of Life Sciences, with optional choices spanning anatomy, palaeoanthropology, and social anthropology. The final year centres on the compulsory Human Sciences Seminar Project, accompanied by advanced optional modules covering specialized topics in anatomy, neuroscience, and anthropology.
