About this course

BA in Italian and History of Art, a joint honours degree centred on the study of the Italian and History of Art subject areas. Core topics include Research Methods. The course includes a mandatory year abroad placement. The first year covers the foundations through First Year Italian Language, First-Year History of Art Survey (1): Premodernity to c. 1600 and Introduction to Italian Studies 1. The second year continues with Second Year Italian Language and Advanced Lecture in the History of Art (1) A, alongside optional choices such as Methodologies of Art History and Theory and History of Conservation. The third year consists of SELCS Year Abroad Term 1 and SELCS Year Abroad Term 2. The final year includes Final Year Italian Language, with further options covering Architecture and the Modern City and a BA Dissertation in History of Art.
