Entry requirements
A level: A*AA (Mathematics with A* required. Science or Social Sciences preferred.) IB: 39 points (A total of 19 points in three higher level subjects, including grade 7 in Mathematics, with no score below 5. The course will accept either ‘Mathematics: Analysis and Approaches’ or ‘Mathematics: Applications and Interpretation’ at higher level. Higher level Science or Social Science subject is preferred.)
About this course
MSci in Management Science, a business and management degree focused on quantitative tools and qualitative methods for innovation-intensive environments. Core topics include Programming, Data Analysis, Statistics, Mathematical Modelling, Research Methods, Project Management, Financial Analysis, Human Behaviour, and Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning. The course offers the option of an additional year abroad or in industry. The first year covers foundational concepts through compulsory modules such as The Art and Science of Management, Data Analytics I (Statistics and Data Mining), Mathematics I (Calculus and Modelling), and Business Economics I. The second year introduces more advanced topics via compulsory modules including Strategy by Design, Finance II (Investment Management), Computational Thinking, and Data Analytics II (Machine Learning and Forecasting), alongside optional choices in engineering and technology. The third year centres on core subjects such as the Management Science Dissertation, Marketing Science, Decision Science, Delivering Results Through People, and AI, Ethics and Sustainability. The fourth year features compulsory advanced study in International Strategy, Leadership and Communication, Technology and Digital Strategy, and the Management Science Group Consultancy Project, with further specialisation available through optional modules like Mergers and Valuation, Digital Conversations and Marketing, and Strategic Project Management.
