A level: A*AA (Biology and Chemistry required with either at grade A*) IB: 39 points (A total of 19 points in three higher level subjects, including 6 and 7 in Biology and Chemistry in either order. No higher level score below 5.)
About this course
BSc in Medicine MBBS, a medicine degree spanning clinical sciences, patient care, and healthcare systems. Core topics include Ethics & Professional Practice. The programme runs for six academic years and integrates scientific theory with hospital and community placements. The first year covers foundational biomedical themes through modules such as Blood, Immunity and Infection, Cardiovascular and Respiratory Systems, and Gastrointestinal and Renal Systems. The second year progresses to the Musculoskeletal System, Nervous System, and Endocrine System and the Life Cycle alongside preparation for clinical placements. Year 4 involves practical experience via Medical Placement and Community, Surgical Placement and Community, and Specialty Rotations and Community. Year 5 expands into Child & Adolescent Health and General Practice, Reproductive Health and Specialist Rotations, and Ageing, Oncology, Palliative Care and Psychiatry. The final year prepares students for transition through Hospital Assistantship, General Practice Assistantship, and a Clinical Elective.
