BSc Mental Health and Wellbeing
Entry requirements
96 UCAS tariff points from 3 A Levels or equivalent, e.g. CCC. Alternatively; Irish Leaving Certificate: BBCCC. Scottish Highers: BBCCC. BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma: DMM in a related subject. International Baccalaureate Diploma: 24 points. All applicants are required to have at least 3 GCSEs at grade C, or grade 4, or above, including English and Maths. Candidates must demonstrate a certificated level of proficiency of at least IELTS 6.0 (Academic level) or equivalent English Language qualification. For Foundation entry, applicants require a minimum of 40 UCAS Tariff points. Candidates who meet the above entry criteria for either foundation and standard entry, but have been out of study for 5 years, will be required to pass an academic interview. We will also consider applications to level 3 entry from those who are not able to meet our normal course entry requirements but can demonstrate that they have achieved the required level of knowledge and skills and have the potential to benefit from the course, for example: through relevant work experience and professional development. Non-Standard Entry (Mature 21+): We require an academic Level 3 qualification (Ofqual recognised) OR a Level 2 qualification in the desired field of study accompanied with work experience within this field in the last 5 years. Candidates in this category would be required to pass an academic interview.
About this course
BSc (Hons) in Paramedic Science. Core topics include Global & Comparative Perspective. Ethical practice underpins the programme, which addresses mental health across children, adults, and workplace settings. Students engage with services across public, private, and third sector contexts and complete a final-year Undergraduate Project focused on health and social contexts.
