Entry requirements

112-128 UCAS points at A2, must include Chemistry or Biology at Grade C or above and another science at Grade C or above. Accepted science subjects are: Biology, Chemistry, Psychology, Maths and Physics BTEC Extended Diploma: DMM - DDM including specific science units. BTEC Diploma: D*D* including specific science units. Pass Access Course: 112-128 UCAS points including 15 Level 3 credits in Biology or Chemistry at Merit and 15 Level 3 credits in another science subject at Merit. International Baccalaureate Diploma: Pass with 112 - 128 UCAS points. Must include a minimum of grade 5 from Higher Level Biology or Chemistry and grade 5 from another science subject. T Level in Science with an overall grade M IELTS: 6.5 with no component lower than 6.0 GCSEs: 5 at grade C/4 including Maths and English language or equivalent. Must include grade C/4 in two sciences such as Biology, Chemistry, Physics or double science equivalents can be accepted.

About this course

BSc (Hons) in Nutrition, combining food science with health and disease prevention. Core topics include Data Analysis, Research Methods, and Critical & Analytical Thinking. The final-year research project allows investigation of a chosen topic, and partnerships with local health groups and sports clubs provide applied learning opportunities. On-site laboratories support food testing and nutrition skills development.
