Entry requirements
64 UCAS points at A2, must include Chemistry or Biology and another science subject. Accepted science subjects are: Biology, Chemistry, Psychology, Maths and Physics. BTEC Extended Diploma: MPP in Applied Science BTEC Diploma: MM in Applied Science Pass Access Course with 64 UCAS points including 15 Level 3 credits in one science subject International Baccalaureate Diploma: Pass with 64 UCAS points from Higher Level subjects. Must include Biology or Chemistry and another science subject. T Level in Science at P (D or E) IELTS: 6.0 with no component lower than 5.5 GCSEs: 5 at grade C/4 including Maths and English Language or equivalent Given the nature of this programme, applications from individuals with non-standard qualifications, or relevant work/life experience and who have aspirations for professional careers in the fields of nutrition but lack the requisite academic qualifications, are welcome. Such applications will be reviewed on an individual basis and may require the applicant to be invited to interview.
About this course
BSc (Hons) Nutrition foundation year, designed for those without the formal qualifications to progress directly onto the full degree. Core topics include chronic diseases such as heart disease, diabetes and cancer, with training in creating effective nutrition plans. The course draws on partnerships with local health organisations and sports clubs, and provides access to a physiology laboratory and specialised nutrition and food chemistry equipment.
