Entry requirements
BBB at A2 or equivalent 120 points from three A-Levels, must include Chemistry or Biology at grade B or above and another science at grade B or above. Accepted second sciences are: Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Physics and Statistics BTEC Extended Diploma: D*D*D* in Applied Science including specific module requirements. Please see UCAS for further information BTEC Level 3 Diploma: DD in Applied Science including specific module requirements. Must be alongside Grade B in A2 Chemistry or Biology Pass Access to HE with 128 points including 15 level 3 credits of Chemistry at Distinction AND 15 level 3 credits of Biology at Distinction. The Access to HE Diploma must be in a relevant Science subject (for example, Access to Science, Pharmacy or Medicine). Diplomas in unrelated subjects are not accepted. The qualification must include assessed examinations. Courses assessed entirely by coursework, taught solely online, or without invigilated assessments are not accepted International Baccalaureate Diploma: Pass including 128 points from Higher Level Subjects. Grade 6 at Higher Level Chemistry or Biology and second Higher Level Science at grade 6 and a third subject at Higher Level grade 5. Accepted second sciences are: Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Physics, Statistics. Standard level required in Chemistry and Biology if not taken at Higher Level. Scottish Advanced Higher: BBB or equivalent 120 points from three Advanced Highers, must include Chemistry or Biology at grade B or above and another Science at grade B or above. Accepted second sciences are: Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Physics, Statistics Leaving Certificate - Higher Level (Ireland): 128 UCAS points from A and B grades or H1 and H2 grades. Must include Chemistry or Biology and another Science subject. Accepted second sciences are: Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Physics, Statistics Degree: can be considered for entry with 2:2 overall, alongside appropriate healthcare experience. These are assessed on a case by case basis and must be Chemistry or Biology related. Please note HE Foundation Year programmes and T Levels are not accepted for entry to Pharmacy IELTS: 7.0 with no component score less than 6.0 (to have been taken within 2 years before the course commencement date) GCSEs: 5 at grade C/4 including Maths and English If no A2 the Chemistry and Biology GCSE required Applicants are required to attend a selection day when they will be interviewed for the course A satisfactory Criminal records declaration (DBS/Disclosure Scotland), Occupational Health clearance and satisfactory Fitness to Practice assessment are required for this course
About this course
MPharm (Hons) in Pharmacy. Core topics include Clinical Skills and Ethics & Professional Practice. The programme features experiential placements across four professional practice modules and covers polypharmacy, co-morbidities and complex patient needs. Students study alongside other health professionals.
