Entry requirements

UCAS tariff points You will need one of the following: 112 UCAS points (standard offer), or 96 UCAS points (contextual offer) Read more about contextual offer eligibility. Points must come from a Level 3 qualification listed on the UCAS tariff calculator. Accepted qualifications We accept: Level 3 / A Level passes in Maths and (Biology OR Chemistry OR Electronics OR Physics) BTEC in Engineering related subjects including Maths and Further Maths Units with minimum grades M Access to HE Diploma (QAA approved) in a relevant Engineering subject (Access to HE Engineering, Electronics and Computer Engineering, Construction and Civil Engineering) with 60 credits overall and 45 credits at Level 3 to include at least 30 Level 3 credits at Merit or Distinction and level 3 Maths (Calculus, Differentiation and Integration) – all with Grade Merit. T Levels - we do not accept for this course, except for the Foundation Year International Baccalaureate – 27 points including a minimum of 15 points at Higher Level. Must include Maths and Physics at Higher Level We also welcome applications from students who are taking Level 3 or higher qualifications not on the UCAS tariff calculator. These are assessed on a case-by-case basis. About this course

BEng (Hons) in Biomedical Engineering. Core topics include Signal Processing, Statistics, Mathematical Modelling, Laboratory Techniques, Engineering Design, and Project Management. The course culminates in a Capstone Project in the final year, and modules cover areas such as Medical Imaging, Biomechanics of Human Movement, and Biofluid Mechanics & CFD. Students have access to laboratory facilities and simulation software for virtual design and manufacturing.
