Entry requirements

UCAS tariff points You will need one of the following: 112 UCAS points (standard offer), or 96 UCAS points (contextual offer) Read more about contextual offer eligibility. Points must come from a Level 3 qualification listed on the UCAS tariff calculator. Accepted qualifications We accept: A Levels in at least two subjects. Must include Mathematics grade C BTEC in relevant* subject: Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering) including Maths and Further Maths Units (Unit 4, 19, 28 or 103) with minimum grades M. Relevant subjects: BTEC Aerospace and Aviation Engineering; BTEC Aeronautical Engineering; BTEC Computer Engineering; BTEC Construction and Built Environment; BTEC Engineering; BTEC Mechanical Engineering; BTEC Electrical Engineering; BTEC Manufacturing Engineering. BTEC in Applied Science not accepted. Access to HE Diploma (QAA approved) in a Relevant Engineering Subject (Access to HE Engineering, Electronics and Computer Engineering, Construction and Civil Engineering) with 60 credits overall and 45 credits at Level 3 to include at least 30 Level 3 credits at Merit or Distinction and level 3 Maths (Calculus, Differentiation and Integration) – all with Grade Merit. T Levels - we do not accept for this course, except for the Foundation Year International Baccalaureate – 24 points including a minimum of 15 points at Higher Level and must include Mathematics and Physics at Higher Level. Must have 5 points in Maths at Higher Level. We also welcome applications from students who are taking Level 3 or higher qualifications not on the UCAS tariff calculator. About this course

BEng (Hons) in Civil Engineering. Core topics include Statistics, Mathematical Modelling, and Engineering Design. The course is accredited by the Joint Board of Moderators, fully satisfying the educational base for Incorporated Engineer and partially for Chartered Engineer. A Capstone Project in the final year consolidates learning through independent research.
