Entry requirements
UCAS tariff points You will need one of the following: 112 UCAS points (standard offer), or 96 UCAS points (contextual offer) Read more about contextual offer eligibility. Points must come from a Level 3 qualification listed on the UCAS tariff calculator. Accepted qualifications We accept: A Levels in at least two subjects including Mathematics and Physics BTEC Extended Diploma – DMM (standard) / MMM (contextual) in a relevant subject. Must include distinctions in both Mathematics and Further Mathematics. BTEC Diploma – D*D* (standard) / DD (contextual) in an Engineering relevant subject. Must include Merits in Mathematics, Further Mathematics and Physics/Engineering. Access to HE Diploma in a relevant subject T Levels - we do not accept for this course, except for the Foundation Year International Baccalaureate – 24 points including a minimum of 15 points at Higher Level and must include Mathematics and Physics at Higher Level. We also welcome applications from students who are taking Level 3 or higher qualifications not on the UCAS tariff calculator. These are assessed on a case-by-case basis. Additional requirements You will also need: GCSE English Grade 4/C or Level 2 Functional Skills in English GCSE Mathematics Grade 4/C or Level 2 Functional Skills in Mathematics International qualifications We accept a wide range of European and international qualifications in addition to A-levels, the International Baccalaureate and BTEC qualifications. About this course
BEng (Hons) in Engineering, covering general engineering principles and applied disciplines. Core topics include programming, microelectronics, control systems, statistics, mathematical modelling, and engineering design. Students can participate in competitions including the IMechE Design Challenge, Formula Students, and Shell Eco-Marathon. A capstone project in the final year requires independent research and reporting.
