Entry requirements

UCAS tariff points You will need one of the following: 112 UCAS points (standard offer), or 96 UCAS points (contextual offer) Read more about contextual offer eligibility. Points must come from a Level 3 qualification listed on the UCAS tariff calculator. Accepted qualifications We accept: A Levels including passes at A2 in at least two subjects. Must include Mathematics and Physics or Electronics. BTEC Extended Diploma – DMM (standard) / MMM (contextual). Must include distinctions in both Mathematics and Further Mathematics. BTEC Diploma – D*D* (standard) / DD (contextual) Access to HE Diploma T Levels International Baccalaureate – diploma with 27 points, including a minimum of 15 points at Higher Level and must include Mathematics and Physics at Higher Level We also welcome applications from students who are taking Level 3 or higher qualifications not on the UCAS tariff calculator. These are assessed on a case-by-case basis. About this course

BEng (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering, combining mathematics, science, technology, and management. Core topics include Mathematical Modelling, Control Systems, Engineering Design, Project Management, and Statistics. The programme covers computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and finite element analysis (FEA), with coursework in thermofluids, dynamics, and advanced manufacturing. The final year includes a capstone project allowing independent research in a chosen area of mechanical engineering.
