Entry requirements
UCAS tariff points You will need one of the following: 112 UCAS points (standard offer), or 96 UCAS points (contextual offer) Read more about contextual offer eligibility. Points must come from a Level 3 qualification listed on the UCAS tariff calculator. Accepted qualifications We accept: A Levels in at least two subjects including Grade B in Biology or Chemistry BTEC Extended Diploma – DMM (standard) / MMM (contextual) in Applied Science or relevant (science-based) subject BTEC Diploma – D*D* (standard) / DD (contextual) - at least Merit in relevant subjects Access to HE Diploma in a relevant subject T Levels in a relevant subject International Baccalaureate – 24 points including a minimum of 15 points at Higher Level, including Higher Level Grade 4 in Biology or Chemistry We also welcome applications from students who are taking Level 3 or higher qualifications not on the UCAS tariff calculator. These are assessed on a case-by-case basis. Additional requirements You will also need: GCSE English Grade 4/C or Level 2 Functional Skills in English GCSE Mathematics Grade 4/C or Level 2 Functional Skills in Mathematics International qualifications We accept a wide range of European and international qualifications in addition to A-levels, the International Baccalaureate and BTEC qualifications. About this course
BSc (Hons) in Chemistry, combining theoretical knowledge and practical laboratory training. Core topics include Statistics, Laboratory Techniques, Research Methods, and Ethics & Professional Practice. The programme is accredited by the Royal Society of Chemistry with core modules in analytical, inorganic, organic, and physical chemistry across all three years. An honours-level independent research project forms the capstone assessment.
