Entry requirements
UCAS tariff points You will need one of the following: 112 UCAS points (standard offer), or 96 UCAS points (contextual offer) Read more about contextual offer eligibility. Points must come from a Level 3 qualification listed on the UCAS tariff calculator. Accepted qualifications We accept: A Levels in at least two subjects including Mathematics, Physics or Electronics BTEC Extended Diploma – DMM (standard) / MMM (contextual) in a relevant subject. Must include distinctions in both Mathematics and Further Mathematics. Access to HE Diploma in Engineering (or a related subject) with 60 credits overall, including 45 at Level 3, at least 30 of which must be at Merit or Distinction, plus Level 3 Mathematics at Merit. T Levels in a relevant subject International Baccalaureate – 24 points including a minimum of 15 points at Higher Level and must include Mathematics and Physics at Higher Level. We also welcome applications from students who are taking Level 3 or higher qualifications not on the UCAS tariff calculator. These are assessed on a case-by-case basis. Additional requirements You will also need: GCSE English Grade 4/C or Level 2 Functional Skills in English GCSE Mathematics Grade 4/C or Level 2 Functional Skills in Mathematics International qualifications We accept a wide range of European and international qualifications in addition to A-levels, the International Baccalaureate and BTEC qualifications. MEng in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, covering electronics and digital systems. Core topics include Circuit Design, Computer Architecture, Embedded Systems, Signal Processing, Microelectronics, and Control Systems. The programme includes an industrial sandwich placement year and a capstone project in the final year.
