Entry requirements

A level: BBC To include one at Grade B from Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Technology & Design, Engineering, Electronics or Double Award Science/Applied Science. Applicants presenting any of the above Desirable Subjects will receive a ONE grade reduction at the time of offer i.e. BCC.The Desirable Subject can be achieved at grade C or B.

About this course

BEng (Hons) Mechanical Engineering. Core topics include programming, statistics, mathematical modelling, engineering design, research methods, and artificial intelligence and machine learning. The programme is accredited by the IMechE and the IET, leading towards Chartered Engineer status with further study. The third year is spent on an industrial placement, resulting in a Diploma in Professional Practice (DPP).
