Entry requirements

A level: BCC Geography, Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Environmental Technology/Science or Life & Health Sciences. These subjects are not required, but they may help with course progression and could be used to decide between applicants who do not fully meet their offer if places are still available.

About this course

BSc (Hons) in Earth and Environmental Sciences, with an emphasis on marine and coastal systems. Core topics include Statistics, Research Methods, Fieldwork, Project Management, Environmental Analysis, and Communication & Writing. The course spans four years including a professional industrial placement year and an option to study abroad at a European university. Students complete a final-year individual research dissertation alongside training in Remote Sensing and Geographical Information Systems.
