A level: BCC Applicants can satisfy the requirement for the third A Level by substituting a combination of alternative qualifications recognised by the University.
About this course
BSc (Hons) in Sociology and Social Policy, combining sociological analysis with the study of welfare and policy-making. Core topics include Statistics, Research Methods, Policy Analysis, Ethics & Professional Practice, and Social & Cultural Analysis. The degree comprises two-thirds social policy and one-third sociology, with an optional professional placement year and an extended study abroad option. A final-year dissertation allows an independent investigation into a social policy topic of the student's choosing.
