A level: BCC Applicants can satisfy the requirement for the third A Level by substituting a combination of alternative qualifications recognised by the University.
About this course
BSc (Hons) in Sociology, with criminology as a minor component making up one-third of the degree. Core topics include Research Methods and Critical & Analytical Thinking. The course is structured around three emphases: sociological theory and explanatory frameworks, the social features of contemporary society in a global context, and the collection and assessment of evidence. A supervised dissertation allows independent critical investigation of a sociology topic in the final year.
