Entry requirements
112 UCAS points required from level 3 qualifications. These can include: A Levels at grade B, B and C, or above BTEC Extended Diploma with Distinction, Merit, Merit Access to HE Diploma in Nursing/Health or Social Care/Science with a Merit/Distinction profile T Levels Your UCAS points would normally include at least 2 subject areas. You also need GCSE English and Maths (grade 9 – 4 / A* - C) or Level 2 equivalents. Please note, if your prior qualifications were awarded overseas and you intend to satisfy Level 2 English language requirements through an English Proficiency Test, you must achieve scores comparable to IELTS 7.0 in speaking, reading and listening and 6.5 in writing.
About this course
BSc (Hons) in Learning Disabilities Nursing, covering clinical practice and evidence-based care for individuals with learning disabilities. Core topics include Research Methods, Clinical Skills, Ethics & Professional Practice, and Human Behaviour. Supervised practice placements run across all three years, with a dissertation module in the final year. Students receive an NHS Training Grant of at least £5,000 per year and graduates are eligible for NMC registration.
