Entry requirements

32 UCAS points required from level 3 qualifications. GCSE English and Maths (grade 9 – 4 / A* - C) or Level 2 equivalents. Please note - successful completion of the foundation year is required, to progress to year 1 of the course. If your prior qualifications were awarded overseas and you intend to satisfy Level 2 English language requirements through an English Proficiency Test, you must achieve scores comparable to IELTS 7.0 in speaking, reading and listening and 6.5 in writing.

About this course

BSc (Hons) Learning Disabilities Nursing, focusing on person-centred care for individuals with learning disabilities. Core topics include Research Methods, Clinical Skills, Communication & Writing, Ethics & Professional Practice, and Human Behaviour. The four-year programme includes an integrated foundation year for applicants not meeting the standard entry criteria. Students undertake supervised clinical placements from Year 1, and completion leads to eligibility to register with the Nursing and Midwifery Council.
