Entry requirements

72 UCAS points required from level 3 qualifications. These can include: A Levels at grades B and C (from two A levels) or grades D, D and D (if from three), or above BTEC Extended Diploma with Merit, Merit, Pass Access to HE Diploma Level 3 qualifications would normally include Music or an alternative relevant subject area. GCSE English and Maths (grade 9 – 4 / A* - C) or Level 2 equivalents is also required. Level 3 qualifications would normally include Music or an alternative relevant subject area, but this is not compulsory. Each application will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

About this course

BMus (Hons) in Music, combining performance with recording practice. Core topics include Signal Processing, Research Methods, Critical & Analytical Thinking, and Design & Creative Practice. One-to-one instrumental tuition on a first study instrument is provided throughout. A self-directed Performance and Recording Project spans the final academic year, integrating performance and recording techniques.
