Entry requirements

72 UCAS points required from level 3 qualifications. These can include: A Levels at grades B and C (from two A levels) or grades D, D and D (if from three), or above BTEC Extended Diploma with Merit, Merit, Pass Access to HE Diploma Level 3 qualifications would normally include Music or an alternative relevant subject area. GCSE English and Maths (grade 9 – 4 / A* - C) or Level 2 equivalents is also required. Level 3 qualifications would normally include Music or an alternative relevant subject area, but this is not compulsory. Each application will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

BMus (Hons) in Music, focusing on popular music performance. Core topics include Signal Processing, Research Methods, Critical & Analytical Thinking, and Design & Creative Practice. The course features 1:1 instrumental lessons and a Performance Project module. A collaborative Festival Performance module involves students organizing a live music event.
