About this course

BA (Hons) Business and Management with French (with a year abroad), a business management degree focused on organizational practices and French language acquisition. Core topics include Research Methods, Accounting, Entrepreneurship, and Global & Comparative Perspective. The third year is spent abroad studying at another university or undertaking a French-speaking work placement or internship. The first year covers foundational principles through Introduction to Business Ethics and Sustainability, Business Accounting, Research in the Age of Disinformation, and Marketing Principles and Practice, alongside tailored French language modules. The second year examines organizational dynamics via Business Planning and Sustainable Entrepreneurship, Behaviour in Organisations, Employee Relations, and Strategy, Management and Society, with optional choices such as World Cinemas: Representing National and Transnational Societies and Cultures. The final fourth year features compulsory advanced study in Management in the Twenty-First Century, Responsible Business and Management: Accountability in the International Political Economy, and advanced French proficiency. Students can select from numerous optional modules including Supply Chain Management and Strategic Management of Risk, and may also undertake a Dissertation or Business Consultancy Project.
