About this course
BA (Hons) Business and Management with Italian (with a year in industry) is a business management degree that combines organisational theory with the study of Italian language and culture. Core topics include Research Methods, Accounting, Entrepreneurship, and Global & Comparative Perspective. Students spend the third year completing an industry placement within an Italian-speaking setting. The first year establishes core foundations through modules such as Introduction to Business Ethics and Sustainability, Business Accounting, Marketing Principles and Practice, and Intensive Italian Language and Cultures: Beginner. The second year builds further knowledge through Business Planning and Sustainable Entrepreneurship, Behaviour in Organisations, Employee Relations, and Italian Language and Cultures: Advanced, alongside optional choices including The Role of Art in Italian Society. The final fourth year covers advanced topics through Management in the Twenty-First Century, Responsible Business and Management: Accountability in the International Political Economy, and Italian Language and Cultures: Proficient. Optional modules in the final year allow students to explore diverse subjects like Supply Chain Management, Company Law, and Workplace Mental Health and Wellbeing, or undertake a Dissertation or Business Consultancy Project.
