About this course
BA (Hons) in Criminal Justice and Social Policy, a social policy degree examining crime as a social problem within a global framework. Core topics include Policy Analysis. The course runs over three years full-time. The first year covers core subjects such as the workings of the criminal justice system, policy and social progress, contemporary public policy issues, and criminal justice inequality. The second year builds upon this with modules on policy think tanks, crime across the life course, social inequalities, and victimisation. The final year involves an independent study module alongside optional study in areas such as prisons and penal policy, policing, drugs, housing, and global social problems.
