A level: AAB You do not need an A level in History of Art. IB: 35 points BTEC: DDD We consider a range of BTEC qualifications equivalent to 3 A Levels, or in combination with A Levels or other qualifications. For example: Distinction, Distinction in BTEC Level 3 National Diploma plus A at A Level Distinction in BTEC Level 3 National Extended Certificate plus AA at A level Distinction, Distinction in 2 BTEC Level 3 National Extended Certificates plus A at A level
About this course
BA (Hons) Curating and Art History (with a year abroad) is an undergraduate degree in History of Art. Core topics include Research Methods. This four-year course includes a year spent studying abroad. The first year covers foundational concepts through compulsory modules such as Curatorial Practice Now, The Art of Looking, The Practices of Art History, Materials of Art and Architecture, and Objects in Focus (Curating), alongside optional study. The second year features compulsory practical experience through Curatorial Internship and Group Exhibition Project, alongside a wide range of optional topics spanning global art history, fashion, photography, and architecture. The final year involves independent research through a Dissertation, supplemented by further optional modules covering specialized periods and themes.
