About this course
BA (Hons) Education and Spanish (with a year abroad) is a combined degree exploring education and Spanish within the broader academic subject area of Education and Spanish (with a year abroad). Core topics include Research Methods. Students spend the third year abroad studying at another institution or undertaking a work placement or internship in a Spanish-speaking region. The first year covers foundational concepts through Researching Education, Key Concepts in Education, and Spanish Language and Cultures: Upper Intermediate. The second year progresses with Spanish Language and Cultures: Advanced and Educational Research Methods, alongside optional choices such as Teaching English as a foreign language I and Education Policy and its Impacts. The final year involves an Empirical Education Dissertation and Spanish Language and Cultures: Proficient, complemented by optional modules like Translation: Methodology and Practice and Education and Global Development.
