A level: AAB including French IB: 35 points including 5 in French at Higher Level BTEC: DDD. An A Level or equivalent qualification in French will be required.

BA (Hons) French and Italian (with a year abroad), a French and Francophone Studies and Italian degree focusing on language acquisition and cultural studies. The course includes a compulsory year abroad spent studying at a partner institution, undertaking a work placement, or completing an internship. The first year introduces foundational linguistic and cultural studies through French Language and Cultures: Upper Intermediate, Intensive Italian Language and Cultures: Beginner, Understanding Language in the Real World, Understanding French-speaking Cultures and Societies, and Understanding Italian-speaking Cultures and Societies, alongside optional choices such as English Past and Present. The second year advances fluency via French Language and Cultures: Advanced and Italian Language and Cultures: Advanced, with optional modules covering topics such as The Role of Art in Italian Society and World Cinemas: Representing National and Transnational Societies and Cultures. The final fourth year consolidates proficiency through French Language and Cultures: Proficient and Italian Language and Cultures: Proficient, while allowing students to select from specialized options including The Mafia from its Origins to the Present Day, Translation: Methodology and Practice, and Independent Study in Languages and Cultures.
