About this course
BA (Hons) International Relations and Italian (with a year abroad), an undergraduate degree spanning International Relations and Italian (with a year abroad) within International Relations and Italian (with a year abroad). Core topics include Research Methods. This four-year course includes a mandatory year spent studying at a partner institution or undertaking an internship abroad. The first year establishes core foundations through Political Analysis, Introduction to Global Politics, Intensive Italian Language and Cultures: Beginner, and Understanding Italian-speaking Cultures and Societies, with additional optional modules available. The second year progresses to advanced linguistic and political study via Italian Language and Cultures: Advanced, International Relations Theory and Global Politics, and Research Design, alongside various optional subjects spanning European politics, security studies, and global economics. The final fourth year centers on advanced language proficiency and independent research through Italian Language and Cultures: Proficient and Politics Dissertation, complemented by specialized options covering topics such as terrorism, green politics, and international diplomacy.
