About this course

BA (Hons) Linguistics with Italian, an English Language and Linguistics and Italian degree focusing on the structure of language alongside Italian language and culture. Students study Italian as beginners. The course includes a three-year full-time structure with options for a four-year variant incorporating a year abroad. The first year covers core modules such as Intensive Italian Language and Cultures: Beginner, Language and the Mind, Understanding Language in the Real World, and Understanding Italian-speaking Cultures and Societies (ab initio). The second year advances linguistic and cultural study through Italian Language and Cultures: Advanced and Foundations of Meaning, alongside various optional topics.
