About this course

BEng (Hons) Electronic Engineering with Music Technology Systems, an electrical and electronic engineering degree combining professional electronics with audio and music technology systems. Core topics include Programming and Signal Processing. The course is fully accredited by the IET and counts towards the training requirements for Chartered Engineer status, with an optional industrial placement year available. The first year covers foundational principles through modules such as Introduction to Engineering, Mathematics, Digital Electronics and Analogue Electronics. The second year progresses to advanced concepts with Mathematics, Signals and Systems, Acoustics and Studio Recording, Control, Sensors and Instrumentation and Software Design. The final year focuses on professional applications through Audio App Development and Marketing and the Individual Final Project, while optional modules allow specialisation in areas such as Digital Signal Processing, Electric Powertrain Design and Photovoltaics and Solar Thermal Energy.
