A level: ABB including Maths. IB: 34 points overall with grade 5 in Higher Level Mathematics - Applications and Interpretation or 5 in Higher Level or Standard Level Mathematics - Analysis and Approaches. BTEC: We consider a range of BTEC qualifications equivalent to 3 A Levels, or in combination with A Levels or other qualifications. For example: DDM in the BTEC National Extended Diploma plus A level Maths grade B DD in the BTEC National Diploma in any subject plus A level Maths grade B D in the BTEC National Extended Certificate plus AB at A level including Mathematics We consider BTEC Level 3 National Diploma/ Extended Diploma with Unit 7- Calculus to Solve Engineering Problems and Unit 8- Further Engineering Mathematics in place of A Level Mathematics.

About this course

BEng (Hons) Electronic Engineering, an electrical and electronic engineering degree focused on hardware, systems, and modern applications. Core topics include Programming, Circuit Design, Signal Processing, and Data Analysis. This course is fully accredited by the IET and counts towards the training requirements for Chartered Engineer status. The first year covers the foundations through Introduction to Engineering, Programming and Digital Interfacing, Mathematics, and Digital Electronics. The second year progresses to Mathematics, Signals and Systems, Electronic Engineering Project 2, and Circuit Design. Optional modules in the second year include Data Analysis and Numerical Methods, Electrical Circuits and Systems, and Electromagnetism. The final year includes Communications, Systems and Digital Communications and an Individual Final Project. Optional modules in the final year allow study in areas such as Cloud and Distributed Computing, Renewable Power Generation, Biomedical Engineering, Robotics Design and Construction, Medical Physics, Product Design, Development and Commercialization, Advanced Sensors and Instrumentation, Digital Signal Processing, Electric Powertrain Design, Digital Engineering, and Photovoltaics and Solar Thermal Energy.
