A level: AAB IB: 35 points BTEC: DDD We consider a range of BTEC qualifications equivalent to 3 A Levels, or in combination with A Levels or other qualifications. About this course
BSc (Hons) Accounting and Finance, an accounting and finance degree centred on the study of financial records, economic principles, and business operations. Core topics include Control Systems, Data Analysis, Financial Analysis, and Accounting. The course is accredited by the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, the Association of International Accountants, the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy, the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland. The first year covers the foundations through Introduction to Accounting, Finance Fundamentals, Business Economics, and Quantitative Analysis in Business Studies. The second year progresses to Data Analytics for Accounting and Finance, Corporate Finance, Intermediate Management Accounting, and Financial Reporting. The final year focuses on advanced concepts via Advanced Financial Reporting, Financial Markets and Investments, Contemporary Issues in Accounting and Finance, and Management Accounting and Control Systems. Optional modules allow students to explore topics such as Audit and Assurance, Company Law, Taxation Systems, and Behavioural Finance, alongside practical options like the Business Consultancy Project.
