About this course

BSc (Hons) Actuarial Science is an undergraduate mathematics and accounting and finance degree that addresses financial risk and uncertainty. Core topics include Statistics, Mathematical Modelling, Financial Analysis, and Accounting. The degree is professionally accredited by the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries. The first year covers foundational content through Foundations and Calculus, Introduction to Probability and Statistics, Introduction to Accounting, and Multivariable Calculus and Matrices. The second year progresses to advanced methods with Probability and Markov Chains, Actuarial Mathematics, Corporate Finance, and Financial Modelling with R.
