Entry requirements
A level: AAB. A level Mathematics is a preferred subject, but not essential. If you do not have an A level in Mathematics then GCSE Mathematics Grade 7(A) is essential. IB: 35 points, 5 in Higher Level Mathematics or 7 in Standard Level Mathematics (either Analysis and Approaches or Applications and Interpretations) is preferred, but not essential. If you do not have HL or SL Mathematics then MYP Mathematics Grade 6 or GCSE Mathematics Grade 7(A) is essential. BTEC: DDD. A-Level Mathematics is a preferred subject, but not essential. If you do not have an A level in Mathematics then GCSE Mathematics Grade 7(A) is essential. We may also consider relevant units in your BTEC as A Level/GCSE Mathematics equivalent.
About this course
BSc (Hons) Economics and Management, an economics and management degree centred on commercial and social systems. Core topics include Statistics, Research Methods, Entrepreneurship, and Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning. Students complete a three-year undergraduate programme combining analytical training with practical organisational studies. The first year covers foundational ideas through Principles of Economics, Quantitative Methods, and Data, Evidence and Policy. The second year introduces core concepts via Microeconomic Theory, Macroeconomic Analysis and Policy, and Econometric Analysis, alongside optional modules such as Management in the Age of Artificial Intelligence. The third year builds advanced understanding through compulsory modules like Contemporary Economic Issues and Analysis, and optional choices span subjects such as Game Theory and Health Economics, with possibilities for an Economics Dissertation or Business Consulting Project.
