About this course

BSc (Hons) Economics and Mathematics, a mathematics and economics degree focused on analytical problem-solving and quantitative theory. Core topics include Programming, Data Analysis, Statistics, Mathematical Modelling, and Research Methods. Students build a foundation across the first two years before selecting from a broad range of modules in the final year. The first year covers core grounding through Foundations and Calculus, Principles of Economics, and Data, Evidence and Policy. The second year introduces specific theory and techniques via Microeconomic Theory, Macroeconomic Analysis and Policy, and Econometric Analysis, alongside optional choices such as Development Economics or Linear Algebra.
