About this course

BSc (Hons) Economics and Philosophy, an undergraduate economics and philosophy degree exploring social systems and analytical theory. Core topics include Statistics, Research Methods, and Policy Analysis. Students complete a dissertation in their final year alongside core study in ethics and economics. The first year covers foundational concepts through compulsory modules such as Principles of Economics and Logic, with various optional choices available. The second year builds technical competence with compulsory modules including Econometric Analysis, Microeconomic Theory, and Macroeconomic Analysis and Policy. The final year involves compulsory study in Ethics and Economics and Contemporary Economic Issues and Analysis, complemented by a PPE dissertation. Optional modules allow specialisation in areas such as Applied Econometrics, Game Theory, Philosophy of Mind, and Bioethics.
